Area Information

Boothbay Harbor is a unique coastal community. Here are some of the things that make us special.

Boothbay Opera House

This is a great local venue for an evening of music. The Opera House hosts many local events like the Gingerbread Spectacular and the Festival of Trees. It's just a couple of blocks away. Reserve dinner at the Bistro or Ports of Italy and make an evening of it.

Balmy Days Cruises

Balmy Days Cruises has ferry boat trips to Squirrel and Monhegan Island. You will find them just down over the hill from Mackerel Sky Suites. The Squirrel Island ferry boat ride is a great way to see the harbor.

Cabbage Island Clambakes

Board the Bennie Alice, just a quick walk down the hill at pier six, and take a short boat ride out to Cabbage Island for a traditional lobster feast. Highly recommended.
